TPMC

TPMC is a center for pop music and performance in Taipei. Located to the East of the city, the site is embedded into an existing residential and commercial neighbourhood, which is linked by skybridges over large feeder roads into the city. Instead of designing a destination concert hall, the design strategy aims to increase the urban diversity of the site, designing an urban pedestrian boulevard, from which the concert halls as well as commercial facilities are accessed. The boulevard is served by the network of skywalks and creates a covered open public space for all year round activities.
