CCH is a cultural and tourist center in Hanoi, next to the traditional Hoan Kiem Lake. To make the project a well known and outstanding icon of Hanoi and Vietnam, the proposal employs the potential to transform the urban characteristics of Hanoi of open court and permeability into a contemporary environment: The design creates an central court, which is open and inviting to the city. Being in the center of the city, the court has the potential to act as a central event space for culture and tourism, linking all surrounding cultural facilities. It will become the hinge of the cultural walk.
